This week we will complete a guided reading of the text, answer comprehension questions, practice reading for fluency, learn about cause and effect, practice subject verb agreement in simple present tense, and writing a descriptive paragraph describing an event or experience using a graphic organizer of transition words.
The DINs, workbook, guided reading questions, and other worksheets that go along with the activities will be the formative assessments. The essay and quiz will be the summative assessments.
The breakdown of this week:
- finish guided reading
- comprehension questions
- cause and effect with the water cycle
- subject verb agreement (plurals (s) and is vs are)
- write a descriptive paragraph describing an event
- Use graphic organizer to write essay using transition words
- multiple choice quiz
Please use https://quizlet.com/_1rk0kh to study for the reading, all of the key words, academic words, and vocabulary words will be on it with an accompanying picture to help with understanding
